Can I live well and cheaply from August to December? I only work from a laptop anyway and the only thing I need is good internet. So I thought why not just fly away for a while. Let us ignore Corona for a moment.

So I don't know if it's too risky for you, but Venezuela on the coast… Everything cheap because of the cliché, but there's no real danger outside of the Caracas area. Otherwise, African countries like the Ivory Coast would come into question (see world map), but is also more "special" when it comes to insects.
What would be more of a mid-price range is e.g. A small apartment outside of Athens in Greece is really beautiful there, but it will be difficult to find something cheap there… Cuba could not be that expensive either, but I'm not so sure about that.
Heard Madeira should be cheap. Is an island belonging to Portugal but relatively south. I think it is even closer to the coast of Morocco than to the coast of Portugal itself. It is a very pleasant 25 degrees +/- all year round and it never gets extremely hot and not cold in winter. There are breathtaking landscapes and beautiful landscapes beaches and not to forget on New Year's Eve one of the most impressive fireworks in the world financed by the island itself.
