DESKTOP SSD IN LAPTOP?

I wanted to install my SSD from my PC with Windows on it into my laptop because the HDD there's broken
My question is:
If I install the SSD there, will the Windows simply be taken over? Or do I have to reload it and what if I would then install it back into my PC?

Ma

This is taken over 1 to 1, after the start he will install a few drivers by himself and is then finished, the installation works too

Does the laptop even have the option of connecting an SSD? This is different from an HDD.

And if it works, you will probably have to reactivate Windows because apart from the hard drive it will find completely new hardware.

Br

Thanks, if I put the SSD back into the PC, it will work

Ma

Yes this is not a problem

Br

Only activate or also reload?

ki

To activate means to activate.

Br

So the product key?

You can't install a ssd from the pc in a laptop, laptop cards are such small plug-in modules… There won't be enough space in your laptop unless you always want the case open

Something like that is in your laptop: https://www.samsung.com/...-v7s500bw/

Something like that is in your pc: https://www.zeytech.de/SSD-Festplatten_1

In my laptop there's a normal HDD inside…

Then you might be lucky that you have a large laptop or an hdd made especially for laptops, if i tried to squeeze the hdd from my pc into my laptop the lid wouldn't go.
Make sure the parts are the same size and connection to be sure. If you are looking for the name of the model you can see what size they have
(by the way, yes, you can only install 2 hdds or 2 ssds instead of 1 ssd and 1hdd, ssd simply runs faster)

If only problematic with the activation of Windows, unless you have linked Windows to your account online, then you can swap whatever

Counter question: Have you transferred the Windows from the laptop to it? If not, then not.

Either you clone the HDD to the SSD - if that is still technically possible, since the HDD is defective. Of course, restoring a backup image also works.
Or you reinstall Windows on the SSD. (Then delete all partitions of the SSD in the installation process). Have all the drivers for your laptop ready.
