Should my parents be admin on my new notebook?

I bought a cheap used notebook. Since I still live with my parents and use their internet, they want to take away my admin rights and activate Family Safety for a limited time. So far it has always been this way. Can they do that? Actually, it was always good for me. But I'm starting to feel too old for that. Or should they just do it and be good?

Br

How old are you?

Let them do it. If you can do whatever you want within the limits, it makes sense. It also makes sense to have a good relationship with your parents. Then you can talk to them about everything at any time! And that's worth gold. Then they can also decide correctly how they want to use your computer - I put it this way.

Sounds stupid, but it is like this - as long as your parents set up and pay for the internet, they can at least regulate the internet access at their own discretion.

A password on the entire notebook, on the other hand, is nonsense. If it's your property, it's your decision whether to install Word or when to install a new driver.

I don't know what exactly you want to achieve with the question. If you are still very young then there's a reason. If it bothers you so much, talk to your parents that you don't like it. Then you will surely come to a solution.

If you want to get admin rights (without being authorized), you are welcome to ask again.

br

You're right. I'll have it done today.

br

No, they just add an admin password and reactivate this MS parental control.

br

Well, I won't reveal that on the Internet. But I'm not yet of legal age.

Pr

How old are you I would not let it happen.

I would do it this way (my parents also use it): your notebook. You are admin. If your parents have to enforce a software lock, you have completely different problems at home.
