Can't watch movies anymore, why?

And yes you can watch movies on the laptop. I had a movie put in and so probably the opening credits 2 sec. Run and now if I want to watch the movie, he stays with the 2 seconds. I can't pause or press so, have already restarted the PC and changed the DVD but it remains at the 2 seconds. Can someone help me please?
