Reply to underground asking price (EBAY)?

I currently have an ad on Ebay classifieds (a laptop), which has a new price of 720 euro and I want to sell it for a fixed price of 500 euro.

A prospect offers me incredibly outrageous 230 euro and I would now like to write back a very, very unfriendly answer.

Do you have any suggestions on how to respond?

Thanks in advance for helping me ease my frustration!

Depends on the condition and comparable products on the market now.

It makes no sense to put a product in almost exclusively at the original price.

Ja

If you really want to react (I would save myself the trouble), simply respond to any outrageous offer or comment by increasing the originally requested price by 20 euro. Ergo:

520 euro

540 euro

560 euro

Well, you can't know beforehand how this person who offers you so little money lives. It may also be that this person wants a laptop but can't afford it and therefore tries to get it as cheaply as possible. Apart from that, I don't find that outrageous at all, frankly find it rather outrageous that you post this here and look for suggestions on how to answer unfriendly now.

If you don't like what you're offered, ignore or block that person.

I understand your anger a little, but you also have to understand that people on such sites act now and try their best to pay as little as possible. And another thing, honestly, even if your laptop is still in great condition, no one will get it for 500 euro. Nowadays you can get good laptops even in the Media Markt that start at 500 euro. Then, of course, many people will get this one that is unused in business. Then it is okay if someone tries to buy your used laptop very cheaply.

That's how it works on eBay and on such sites.

A simple NO would do the same.

But please note, if you have exchanged a few words, he can evaluate the communication. This then flows into your profile.

Used to have a smiley face, now it's just OK.

Without me selling anything, just talking to people like that. Best to ignore for you.

Cool: No, thank you very much.

For the FRUST:

Would you sell that in my place for the price?
We're not in the bazaar!
Don't you think it's a little outrageous to waste my time on something like that?
Why waste my time with such unrealistic ideas
etc.

Or simply: Because it is you, I would exceptionally make 700, - EUR.

Since the anger is already inevitable, I no longer respond to such inquiries, I had to experience myself that afterwards mail came in afterwards that the interior was said not to match my description and wanted money back some things around…

First of all thanks for your answer. However, to get back to your point (this person may want a laptop, but can't afford it). If you can't afford it, you should look around for a 200 euro laptop rather than a fixed price of 500 euro!

Ce

Thank you very much for your answer! I believe that with your tips for frustration, I can write back a friendly but pioneering answer.

Well, in my opinion there's nothing wrong with trying your luck and offering someone 200 euro for a laptop. You can try it, right? You can't say anything more like no to him / her. I also think that if you register on such sites and want to sell something, you have to expect that such prices will be good for you. Which I don't think is bad. I have often sold clothes of mine or furniture / objects on such sites and of course I also came up with price proposals that were not realistic, but that is part of such sites. You have to count on that. And if it doesn't suit you, you can say that. Or ignore and / or block. But looking for suggestions and answers for how best to answer very very unfriendly, I don't find the taste so great. It's just not my thing.
Then I wish you every success in finding a potential buyer for your laptop!

Hi, thanks for your reply! I did not follow the original price, but the other offers on Ebay. The one with the original price was just an indication of how far below

Lo

Then that's just someone looking for people who fall for it. Still remain factual

Ce

I will try, thanks!

Ce

Hi, thanks for your reply! Yes, unfortunately there are too many people on Ebay classifieds (of course enough honest people)

Ce

Thanks anyway!
