I love movies and have many DVDs at home. But I wonder if I buy movies on DVD now, how long have I got something from?
That's why I ask because the new laptops have no drive to play CDs and DVDs, and you hardly ever find any devices for cassettes today.
But I definitely do not want to have a subscription like Netflix and that's why I want to stay with the DVDs.
Well, then buy your DVD / BlueRay player, connect it to your TV and you can watch DVD's / BlueRay's for ever.
If you have a Blue Ray player, then you're on the safe side. They also play regular DVDs. I switched to blue ray some time ago. But I still have a lot of DVDs to hang on. And you have to Bear in mind that there are many movies that have not yet been released on Blu-ray. And who knows if some films or editions will ever be released on Blu-ray. Some DVD boxes are really lovingly equipped, and I will not I can't bring it over my heart.
Thank you for your mail.
You will still be able to watch movies on the laptop. Many games run on CD's, etc. So the drive will probably still be available.
Netflix is more for series, there's not a large selection of new films there. I also count to the generation that buys DvD's. Are just the best, so stay tuned and do not give up the ghost…
I just bought a new laptop last Thursday, and the seller at Saturn said, when I asked if there was a CD drive, because I backed up all the data on CD, which is dying out of this medium and therefore the new laptops no drive at all have more. And fact, the laptop I bought then has no drive…
I can buy at most an external drive for just under 120 euro and then connect via cable to the laptop (statement of the Saturn seller).
