Why did you have so many tycoon games in the past?

Somehow there used to be a lot of tycoon games or business simulations.

My father read me some games and I like them.

Are there still some today?

I played something like Transport Tycoon, Railway Tyccon. The industrial giant and traffic giant… These are the other games. But they do not work on my laptop.

Or something where you have a TV channel. That's fun too.

I also love this genre. Currently I'm playing a lot of TwoPointHospital a reboot of the ThemeHospital, which I also appreciated very much.

I think it's too bad that such games are not really being pursued commercially anymore. Presumably, the shoppers have changed and you can earn more money in other genres.

I always have the hope that Indi-makers will address such issues. Because these games thrive on the attention to detail and not on purchasable items or Pay2Win elements as many mobile reboots have done to their negatives.

What used to be missing from these games were add-ons, DLC's or, as Steam offers many games, open source development. That's what keeps a game alive. In order to produce whole "mods", it requires more know-how and manpower than, for example, Design a new fan shop for a ThemePark game.

I think there's a lot of potential in this genre.

I play as Roller Coaster Tycoon Replacement Planet Coaster, I like it a lot.

Otherwise, I think Mad Games Tycoon is pretty good (Steam), you start in the 1980s to start a development studio, even though it's very simple, I still enjoy it after 200 hours.

This year, the new Tropico 6 is released, which could be something.

This genre still exists. The only problem is that such games are no longer suitable for mass production. Anyone can tell you what the newest shooters are, but if you ask for something you are looking for, you will hardly find an answer. On YouTube but new releases are always presented / presented. Just enter Economic Simulation 2018/2019 and you should already find something.

I bought Pizza Connection 3 last year but that was a total flop and I was able to give it back. So I'm wary of new games.

Are there any good examples of indie developers?
