Laptop in the car, who pays for the frost damage?

My laptop was accidentally left in the car for the past 2 nights and is now broken. Due to the cold, the whole screen was already wet when it was opened and there's only a black screen. Will insurance cover the damage? LG

Be

I'm afraid not. Because using the laptop in sub-zero temperatures is probably not part of "normal" use.

Nevertheless, I'm amazed at the damage: I had already left cameras, laptops, etc. In the car, nothing ever happened. Even at sub-zero temperatures.

Ca

What kind of insurance do you mean?

Normally, the damage is not taken over is self-inflicted and not a guarantee

Oa

I don't think insurance will cover the damage as you acted negligently. No insurance company wants to pay for damage just because you forgot your notebook somewhere, for example.

Ga

We have 20/30 centimeters of snow on the car, which is why I was not in the car and I didn't notice it beforehand because I didn't need it.

Ga

My mother put it in when I was working. So wouldn't it take your liability then?

Oa

There's a possibility. It's best to just try it. The insurance company can't do more than reject the application.

fa

Oh yes, now it was the mother. But that was out of the question.

None at all, valuables in the car are not insured, even if someone breaks into your car and steals the laptop it is not insured.

However, do you write "my laptop accidentally became" meaning you are not the one who left it in the car? Then you can claim damages from the person who deposited the device there.

Dr

No insurance pays for it, not even electronics insurance because that would at least be grossly negligent…

If you live in the same household, there will be no liability.
