Help Does the cursor disappear and the screen is strange?

My mouse pointer has disappeared on the laptop. A chip video suggested that I press a key combination to log out. I did that but now every time I turn on the laptop there's this field on the screen and since I have no mouse pointer I can't get away from it. How can I get my laptop back to normal?

Connect an external mouse. The Windows update probably destroyed the existing drivers. You can repair this as soon as you log in with the external mouse.

You should be able to navigate through the menu here with the keyboard (arrow keys or tab) and confirm with enter, so you will at least get out of there.

Looks like Microsoft has enriched you with new Windows updates. Finally, the new? More recent? Microsoft Edge browser installed on Chromium basis.

And this is exactly what happens after the mandatory restart, this beautiful "Look here, want attention" screen. Where you will be asked how to set up the Edge browser.

During the update, I suspect it shot your mouse driver apart. So it should have been the Windows 10 20H2 update.

If possible, connect an external mouse, click your way through the screen (although keystrokes would also work, but comfort is just a matter of setting), and see what the driver, or Windows in general, says about the touchpad.

Start times in the safe mode, and let the troubleshooting run through times.

I think you'll turn off your laptop first and turn it on again tomorrow. Maybe then the mouse pointer will come back and be able to adjust it. If it still doesn't work the next day then you should maybe buy a mouse and see if it works.

Borrow one from a friend or neighbor. I've had this a few times and after clicking it once the touchpad worked again.

What does "somehow not work" mean? Arrow keys or tab would be the first idea.

But I always turn the laptop on and off, but as soon as I enter my password for the lock screen, this picture always comes up

Try using the tab key and then press Enter to confirm when you are on "Skip".

Turn off the laptop, and while turning the laptop back on, "hammer" on the F8 key until a bright blue screen appears, select "Troubleshoot", select "advanced options", and then click "Restore system".
