We inherited a house from the late sister-in-law and there are two laptops in it, but unfortunately we don't have the passwords. Who or where can you have this deleted? Wouldn't like to dispose of them like this!
The cleanest thing would be to reload the operating system and format the hard drive in the process.
From a (data protection) legal perspective, you do not necessarily inherit all access, rights of use and accounts.
Go to a local IT shop, remove the hard drive and format it (delete it completely)
or (if desired) save the data (pictures, videos, documents)

In order to access the data (documents, images, …), you could install another disk with the operating system as the master and access this disk as the slave.
