I've been trying to connect my laptop to our printer for a long time but it doesn't work?
It's a printer with Wi-Fi. So read the manual how to connect it to the router.
It is important that your laptop is connected to the Internet. Then switch on the printer and connect it with a USB cable. Now everything should happen automatically.
In this case, the printer selects its driver and this is installed on the laptop. It takes a little patience until everything is done. Then your printer should work.
Then you could still update the Wi-Fi.
WITHOUT CABLE
Hm, is there a number rotator? I don't find an XP 342, just the XP 432.
There are two ways to attach the printer, either "adhoc" directly to the PC or as a network printer with a router.
Suitable drivers and instructions are available on https://www.epson.at/support?productID=15966#drivers_and_manuals.
Download software
Start the software and select whether the connection should be via cable or WLAN
You can also activate both with the 2nd installation, cable and Wi-Fi
Cable is much faster in operation
