MateBook X 2020 normal for it to get so warm?

I own a MateBook X 2020, which is passively cooled. Is it normal for it to get very warm with normal daily use? Passively cooled laptops have the disadvantage that they are very warm. But I think mine is way too warm. Most of the heat is hidden in the back, which is normal, but it also gets very warm at the front of the keyboard. Can someone speak from experience? Possibly someone owns the same device.

It is not uncommon for a passively cooled device to get warm

OK. The device is much cooler now. The difference is that it is no longer connected to the power supply. Is it common for it to get extremely warm while charging? So there's really a difference in terms of heat development.

Probably the CPU can allow itself more power in mains operation than with a battery

Of course, charging also heats up the battery; with such a small cooling surface, this can of course also have a negative effect on heat development
