I'm considering buying a new laptop. I'm currently considering the Huawei Matebook 13. However, this laptop only has two USB-C interfaces. Since I also want to connect the laptop to a monitor (144hz), my question is whether I can transfer such high frame rates (1080p) via the USB-C hub at all. Incidentally, the Matebook has a USB-C 3.1 interface. Here is the hub through which I want to connect this:
144Hz does not work with HDMI anyway, since 120 is the default in the standard.
But yes, a 144Hz screen can also be connected to the right combo port via slide port. With the linked adapter you should get picture, but not 144Hz.
120 would be enough for me. So does that mean that I can do 120 Hz through the adapter?
In theory yes, but I wouldn't put my hand in the fire for such USB hubs. In my experience, you drive better with the direct cable.
