Li Ion Powerbank charging cells before installation?

The title says almost everything. I have 8 cells (2200 mAh) taken from a good battery from a broken laptop and wanted to build a cheap power bank from them. For this I wanted to know if I can easily install these 8 cells and then recharge them or if I should charge them before installation. For safety's sake.

At the same time, the question arises whether all parts are safe, namely the charger (an APS-A510) and the case (has a board with corresponding controllers of aawsome for 8 cells https://www.amazon.de/...07KZLH972/ because I have heard that in certain devices the Cells have exploded and led to violent fires.

Basically, you should be careful in handling the batteries.

Obviously you want to use the old batteries, if that's a good idea? Then you want to install the, in this 5 euro board? How is the part wired? Are all batteries charged and monitored individually, as with a proper charger?

Better buy a proper Power Bank from Anker.

Charging before is not necessary.

Since all cells are connected in parallel, individual monitoring is unnecessary or even impossible. All cells work like a cell.

Exactly what I wanted to know. Thank you. From a "fire hazard" I do not have to go out or about?

No, as long as there's no damage
