Yesterday I finally managed to connect my old Canon Pixma iP 3500 printer to my laptop. Now I'm just wondering if there's a function there to use less ink…
There should be a savings option in the printer settings. Often, however, you still have to install software, so-called utilities. Either from the manufacturer's website or the enclosed CD.
It's best to look it up in the manual.
Ok thanks, then I'll look again at the manufacturer's website, because I don't have the CD anymore…
This is just window dressing. / Marketing chatter
The printer will then need more cleaning cycles where the expensive ink is then in the sponge. The printer then hardly prints any more. When the sponge is full, you can dispose of the printer. But there may be hacks.
