Hi, I accidentally uninstalled my monitor (Gigabyte M27Q connected to a Razer Blade Pro 17 laptop) in the device manager and now it no longer shows an image. He is shown in the device manager as "present" / connected, but no picture can be seen. What can I do to get it working again?

Ma

Unplugging, restarting, and then plugging in again should fix the problem.

Cr

The cable that is connected to the laptop?

Li

Just restart

Cr

Hi, that doesn't fix the problem. Have tried several times. Still "no signal"

Cr

Unfortunately does not work.

Ma

You may now have to rearrange, duplicate, expand something or a second screen when projecting.

Cr

For example, if I press "Duplicate this display", my laptop switches to the monitor resolution of 2560 * 1440, but it still remains black on the monitor.

Ma

Um, is it on?

Cr

Or there could be some other way, maybe something is blocking the monitor.

Cr

Yes, the light at the bottom right flashes white (it always does when there's no signal, but the monitor is on)

Li

Then pull out the cable and restart it. Then plug it in again and if that doesn't help, reinstall it in the device manager

Cr

Okay, I did that, how do I reinstall in Device Manager?

Ma

Right-click it in the device manager and select Update Driver.

Cr

I tried it several times, unfortunately it didn't work, and had already downloaded the firmware from the manufacturer.

Cr

I got it right, just restarted several times the whole time, at some point it worked, thanks for your help 👍🤗

Cr

Thank you got it done, don't know how, but after the fifth restart it worked at some point 👍🤗

Cr

Sorry again for asking 😓, but now the monitor is the only one recognized as my laptop screen is only recognized by the system as long as it is on. In the past it was always the case that I could choose between monitor 1 and 2 in the Windows display settings, also for example saying could only display on 2 etc. Now the monitor is practically the only display and as long as the laptop screen is closed, there's no display 2 etc displayed.
