RPM, heat?

My coolers always run on 2000-2400 (CPU) and 2000-2500 (GPU) I wonder if this is normal. The noises are not that annoying. Most of all, I worry about the temperature 40 and my GPU is no better, I'm afraid that it will damage my laptop in the long run.
