Laptop for (psychology) study?

I've been studying psychology since October and looking for a new laptop that works well with both the Office & Statistics programs and that I can watch movies from time to time. Important to me is:

-slightly low weight - good battery life. - RAM min 8GBM. - priced up to max 599 euro

Currently I have the Lenovo IdeaPad C340 (RYZEN 5 processor, 256GB memory, 499 euro at MediaMarkt) and the Medion Akoya Convertible E3223 Md61688 in view of Black Friday in particular. Has anyone of you had any experience with them or do you have other recommendations & tips?

So I do not know much about PCs, but I can tell you that the common statistics programs (SPSS and R), like MS Office, do not have very high requirements and actually run on almost any device. So should only the "film aspect" be crucial.

Of convertibles in this price range, I would rather stay away. Then has "only" 13.3 inches. Besides, there's only one Pentium N5000 in there.

Incidentally, Intel laptops currently seem to have a higher battery life.

I would rather go to the HP 15-da2002ng.

That's cool.

Alright, thank you very much! Yes, I'm looking for something with a maximum of 15.6 inches so 13.3 would not be bad. Did you personally experience with HP? Have heard in forums from the brand rather negative

The manufacturer does not care. It's about the built-in components.

Otherwise you are in the discussion: What is better? BMW or Mercedes?
