In these difficult times, I often use Zoom or Skype. Employers, family, friends and church. Everyone wants to see me. I particularly notice at Zoom conferences that my picture is always a little milky compared to others, which bothers me a lot. I compared my "Lenovo ideapad 330S" camera image with a photo from my "Samsung SM-G930F" mobile phone. You can see the difference.
This milky impression indicates that the contrast is too low. Unfortunately, the Lenovo laptop's camera application only offers brightness control by default. Other subtleties can only be set in the settings menu of other applications such as Skype. Probably only as a post-production option, I suspect. All settings that deviate from the standard setting also worsen the picture, including the increase in contrast. Very annoying that you can't access the settings of the camera yourself.
My real question is: Can the camera, which is built into the screen frame, be exchanged for a better model? Or is the actual settings menu hidden somewhere?
Without having read your text:
If your light is constantly changing, a fixed setting of your camera makes no sense.
It's like when your cake burns and you add more water to the dough, but the oven temperature is regulated purely randomly and you will never achieve a balance because there are two variables in the system.
If your camera quality is too bad, buy a webcam, preferably with a light. The built-in cameras are ALWAYS bad in my opinion. Even with Apple products. 720p 😂
Buy a webcam
This is what it will probably amount to.
I also have a lenovo 330 something. The camera doesn't actually have many settings, but with Lenovo Vantage you can adjust brightness and contrast. Also has zoom filters, maybe that helps too.
And of course the light at your workplace is also a factor: if light shines in from the window behind you, or from the side or from the front, there's a world of difference.
