Lenovo laptop loud, what to do?

I have a lenovo laptop with an i7 9750h and a gtx 1650, i don't know the model name but it is black and it has speakers on the side and the fans are in front of the keyboard. Now comes the problem. The laptop always ran quietly, always, then a Windows update came, I did it and since then the fans have been extremely loud and it sounds like a quiet vacuum cleaner. Windows updates are still pending, but I'm not downloading them for security reasons. Can anyone help, thank you.
