This laptop is fairly new, has a lot of features, looks good, but costs a little more than the lower (950 euro) Amd Ryzen 4800u, 16gb RAM and 512gb SSD

This laptop, on the other hand, is a little heavier and has less battery power, but it has a lot more power. I7 10750h, gtx 1650 4gb, 16gm RAM and 1TB SSd and also costs less (800 euro).

Which of these would you buy as a student?

If you don't need long battery life and can live with a heavier device, I would buy the lower one (with this selection).

It depends on what you need it for, the Ryzen laptop should have a little more computing power (more threads, less Tdp (approximate maximum power consumption), but less graphics performance. The Ryzen laptop probably has more battery power because there's no dedicated (separate) graphics card If the Intel laptop didn't have an Nvidia graphics card, I would definitely prefer the Ryzen laptop, where the integrated graphics card is always faster than an integrated Intel graphics card.

The advantage of the Ryzen Notebook is that it can also be charged via USB. The Intel laptop only uses USB C 3.1 Gen 1, which I would partly advise against. The advantage of Gen 2 is that you can usually use it to charge the device yourself, but you can also transfer data and video, i.e. You can buy a docking station / adapter for about 30 euro, where you always have a keyboard, mouse, 1- You can connect 2 monitors, network cable, charger and optionally other USB devices and then only have to connect one device, i.e. The adapter, to the laptop.

Another advantage is that laptops / tablets that have a USB C charging port can also be charged with a better USB C power bank that delivers 20V when you really need a lot of battery. Such a power bank costs about 40 euro and can bring another 1-2 charges.

Depending on what you want to do, the Intel laptop with NVidia graphics card is faster. The GTX 1650 has about twice as much power as the integrated AMD graphics card, but the battery life is also reduced accordingly and you may not be able to use a docking station and USB C charging, unless otherwise stated in the manual.

The one for 800 euro is more powerful and also made for better tasks (not without reason, Intel CPUs are built into most servers / work PCs) You also have a graphics card that is very good for the price

I have the former in the office. The battery performance is really bombastic.

For my purposes that is completely sufficient, in the other offices in our house they also use Lenovo Yoga, but an even higher-class model. We're all very happy with it.

It depends on what you value more.
