I have the internal graphics card from Intel (Intel (R) HD Graphics 3000) in my laptop, but driver updates are no longer provided for Windows 10 64Bit. Is there any other way to bring the graphics card up to date? The last update was made in 2016. Various older games run on the laptop, but the new ones almost all fail because of my video drivers or pixel shaders, vertex shaders, VRAM.
(Don't want to buy new parts!)
CPU: Intel Inside Core i5 2450m
RAM: 4GB
VRAM: 128MB
Free hard disk space: 186GB
GRAKA: Intel (R) HD Graphics 3000
OS: Windows 10 pro 64Bit
Laptop: Thinkpad Lenovo L420
However, no more driver updates are provided.
And? Where is the problem supposed to be? Is something wrong?
Is there any other way to bring the graphics card up to date?
Yes, called "install another graphics card"
In any case, that is the answer to your question formulation.
It could also be that you wanted to ask something different - but then I would have to assume that you don't know what you're asking about - and I'm not leaning that far out of the window.
See: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/de/product/53452
This shows that the last graphics driver (Win7 + Win8.1) from 05.06. 2015 dates. - Your CPU is from around 2011 after all.
I assume that this driver is also installed on your Win10.
In principle, a driver can be updated in the device manager as follows:
Right click on the device entry> Update driver…
"Install another graphics card"… I would have to buy this first, but as far as I read correctly I wrote "Do not want to buy any new parts!". My question remains the same "are there other ways to bring the graphics card up to date?", This does not mean a new one, but the one that is already installed and it is integrated, i.e. I would have to do a lot more effort, right? It's about driver updates… I can't put it any more precisely…
And I have already tried to update the driver in the device manager, all drivers are "up to date", but from 06/05/2016 (driver version: 9.17.10.4459)
Unfortunately, your chances are bad.
You can use Win 7 drivers, but the gods know what the device does. In the worse case, the picture is then warped or flickering.
In any case, save the entire old configuration as a restore point. It may not be possible to reinstall the old driver.
Then you can assume that that's true. - For Intel, there's hardly any reason to bring out a new driver version for on-board graphics, unless it is for a new Windows.

OK. Correct answers to the questions you asked do not suit you. You have to know that, of course.
But just to be on the safe side, I'll repeat an important part of my answer, as the probability that it is true has just risen suddenly:
It could also be that you wanted to ask something different
I ask whether the drivers can be updated in some other way and you say I should buy a new graphics card. If I ask "how can I make a scooter faster?", Then you don't answer with "buy a motorcycle"
