Touchpad - mouse is not working properly?

Who can help me to solve the following problem:

I can move the mouse over the touchpad, but it does not react when clicked. Only when pressed strongly the mouse responds and that is annoying.

Although I have an external mouse but there are situations where I prefer to interact with the touchpad mouse and the eternal back and forth is no fun.

Have already tried about Fn and F5 / F6 / F7 without result. With "CHIP" or "youtube" I could find no help. Have a Lenovo laptop.
