Dear Community,
I have a curious case of slow Wi-Fi connection.
-My Lenovo ideapad 530s has an extremely slow Wi-Fi connection via our FritzBox (17 Mbps down / 0.1 Mbps up)
-LAN connection from the laptop to the Fritzbox runs smoothly (35 Mbps down / 10 Mbps up)
-Wi-Fi connection of the laptop in another apartment (→ other FritzBox!) Runs smoothly.
-All other devices in my apartment run without problems with my FritzBox.
So there are only problems in the special combination: Lenovo ideapad + FritzBox in my apartment. How could I fix this?
Ever with Fritz! WLAN examined?
Possibly change to 5GHz
WLAN signal too strong or too weak at the location of this laptop?
…
Can have many causes
Fritz! WLAN shows the current data rate for the laptop: (150 down / 81 up Mbit / s)
The laptop is right next to the router.
The laptop is connected via 5Ghz (on the other router it also runs smoothly over 2.4 and 5Ghz
The signal right next to the router could also be too high. Possibly times lower
And sometimes in Fritz! Check WLAN for interferers on the channel.
By default, all use the same channel and disturb or are disturbed by their neighbors
Madness, apparently the signal was actually too high, I would never have guessed it. I reduced the maximum transmit power to 25% and now it works.
