I have a Lenovo Thinkpad E595. Kubuntu and Windows 10 are installed. The screen has been flickering for a while. It seems like loose contact, which it probably is. It just makes no sense that it only flickers in Windows and not in Linux. When you push your hand up under the screen, it doesn't flicker. I've already set the monitor Hz from 60Hz to 48Hz, but no change. I have connected to a monitor with HDMI and there's no flickering! The monitor must have something there. Does anyone know why it only flickers in Windows?
Hmm, so if it only flickers with Windows and not with Linux, then it is not a hardware problem. I guess a faulty driver or software.
