I have an old laptop a thinkpad t61 and I can no longer use it and now have the question of whether I can connect it to my pc via VGA as an additional monitor and if so, how?

Or do I have to buy an adapter first in order to be able to use the screen itself

Ps. The pc no longer boots properly because there's no hard disk and the RAM is missing
