Resetting the BIOS will probably not do you any good, because the password is not stored in many notebooks in the CMOS - but in a small flash memory module. Taking out the battery does not help much.

And jumper you just stop the CMOS back - but not the flash memory. He keeps his data without electricity - for all eternity.
