Laptop boot for (Kack) Noobs?

Can I still boot and mate a laptop that hangs when booting the Windows icon?

Device is already older and was tried by a layman to boot. Has not been driving up or down ever since. It can only be switched off by disconnecting the power supply and the battery.

Boats over a USB stick.

Ps: Said layman suggests trying to start the device on the stick and regroup (to correct possible errors when partying etc)

So, is it worth anything at all or is it ready for the landfill?

The device is older, gets very loud and often crashes during boot and / or diagnostic tests.

(Only since the failed first boat attempt)

You need NEN windows image… Free downloadable… Nen usb stick and a program which loads the image on the stick and makes it bootable… Zb linux live creator

if you have the bootable stick… Connect… In the bios change the boot order… Boot from the drive and perform system repair

You can of course do a Linux distribution on a USB stick, start the laptop from there, format it and install a new operating system (for example, a Linux distribution).

To create a boot stick, I recommend https://www.balena.io/...io/etcher/. Etcher works well and is very easy to use. All you need is a USB flash drive and an ISO file from Windows, Ubuntu, Manjaro or any other operating system of your choice.

All you have to do is plug the boot stick into the laptop and change the boot order when booting up. This is usually with F8 or with Del.

For formatting there are several programs under Linux, the best is GParted.

Since you think that the device is older, I would recommend a Linux distro with XFCE. XFCE requires little RAM and CPU, and is pleasant to use.

That it is so loud, could also be because you have to clean the fan times.

Linux Mint Mate is the better version.

Just flatten everything on the record what's on it. For that a Linux Live Distribution is suitable

Download Ios, unetbootin (also available for windows) and let Iso write to a bootable USB stick, done.

Then PC with USB stick booting and you can easily access it to the plate of the laptop and delete everything on it.

The easiest way is with the tool dd in the terminal

https://wiki.ubuntuusers.de/dd/

Then you can install each operating system what you want to have on it. Even for a layman is the free Linux Mint. The graphic surface is created so even a layman can handle it. And if that creates a 13 year old teenager girl and even builds a MY SQL database with it, then that should also be your layman. Otherwise he should keep away from things like that.

If you also find everything important.

Windows has no future, you should rather look for better alternatives. This is not a lie but a fact!
