Laptop boot for (Kack) Noobs?

Can I still boot and mate a laptop that hangs when booting the Windows icon?

Device is already older and was tried by a layman to boot. Has not been driving up or down ever since. It can only be switched off by disconnecting the power supply and the battery.

Since you think that the device is older, I would recommend a Linux distro with XFCE. XFCE requires little RAM and CPU, and is pleasant to use.

Linux Mint Mate is the better version.

Just flatten everything on the record what's on it. For that a Linux Live Distribution is suitable

Download Ios, unetbootin (also available for windows) and let Iso write to a bootable USB stick, done.

Then PC with USB stick booting and you can easily access it to the plate of the laptop and delete everything on it.
