250 euro surcharge for more SSD storage?

I have hesitated for a long time between MacBook and Surface Laptop 3 and now opted for the Microsoft, now I'm unsure whether 250 euro more is worthwhile for the model with 256GB SSD. Would cost 1149 euro. The variant with 128GB SSD "only" 897 euro

Is this massive surcharge worth it? I'm a student, but I download most of the data to a USB stick anyway.

USB sticks are very cheap and small and handy nowadays. So they should be enough if space is actually tight. You could also think about cloud storage, since you probably have a Google account anyway, you can use up your 15Gb on Google Drive.
