Is that bad when the fan of my laptop gets loud?

I downloaded Minecraft on my MacBook Air a few days ago and after 10 minutes I noticed that the fan is getting quite loud. I've already googled if that's bad and now know that a MacBook Air is not for games like Minecraft, but my question is, is that bad when the fan gets so loud? Does that damage my laptop or can I play Minecraft?

I guess, the lukewarm hardware is very busy with the 3D game and the big world. That's why it gets a bit warmer in the case and the fans turn on.

As long as the laptop does not shut down or the clock rates are automatically reduced everything is fine. Such chips can turn 80-90 degrees. It's getting critical.

Maybe you are looking for a tool that measures the most important temperatures.

Such chips can be 80-90 degrees down, sweet… My MacBook becomes warm in Minecraft Classic after 2 minutes 102 ° C and the fan goes off really well

That the fan works audibly is completely normal and uncritical under load. You do not need to worry about that at all.

Lighter games like Minecraft are no problem for an older MacBook Air, but of course i.d.R. More powerful than simple surfing.

So of course you can play Minecraft if you want. But ensure adequate ventilation, so do not put the device on a soft blanket or similar, but rather a solid surface.

There are also external fans on which a notebook can be placed. At the bottom should always get enough air.

If the fans are running permanently, check the activity indicator to see if something is going on. That would be e.g. A malicious software like caused by an antivir or similar.

Thanks, I read the reason could be that Apple laptops are not suitable for video games.

Thank you, I thought it would hurt the laptop a lot if I played Minecraft.

Au

Yes, I think so too, thank you;)

Like most laptops, the MacBook Air is made to be used primarily without being designed for specific applications. Whether that's playing, surfing, writing…

It should be clear that a particularly thin and light notebook with such a high battery life is not necessarily the right one for the most demanding and latest 3D games. But for simpler or older titles like Minecraft it is no less suitable than for other common use cases as well.

The old MB Air certainly not, is also the weakest of all MacBooks and is designed only for ordinary things. For games you need a Macbook Pro. However, for very graphics-heavy games no laptop makes sense. Since it needs a desktop with a super graphics card and many fans, some PCs even have water cooling.

With pleasure!
