I realize that of course not all tech YouTubers have Apple devices as their main devices, and I don't have a lot against Apple and also have an iPad, but I'm surprised that around 70% of all big tech YouTubers feel like iPhones and / or MacBooks and iPads have, while iPhones only have a market share of 12.4% in the 2nd quarter of 2020 and MacBooks around 20% in the laptop market. Just wanted to ask if someone might have a logical explanation.
Well I say that 99% of all laptop owners are not tech YouTubers and Apple is the system of choice for photo and video editing.
Because they are reliable devices that are well suited for office tasks and video editing.
Since Final Cut Pro on a Mac offers pretty much the best video editing experience, especially for YouTube videos. You don't want to grapple with problems.
In addition, Apple offers a certain cleanliness and looks luxurious / professional, e.g. As a video background
Since it runs well, it is fast, it is simple, many special programs are well supported and simply works great together! (and of course you also have the necessary change to buy the newest one every year)
This is because the apple operating system is very easy to use. Real tech youtubers who honestly have a plan for it, but would never buy Apple because it is way too expensive and you have significantly more options on Windows or Linux / android. While the apple operating system is easy to use and secure, it leaves less room for programmers.
Now very few Youtubers program and your argument does not matter.
The support effort alone is significantly lower with Apple than with Windows, so even companies like Intel have switched to Apple because it saves millions of euro in support. And any downtime not incurred is worth more than the few euro more for hardware.
