I have a Windows desktop pc and now I want to be more modern and convert the chunky DIY PC into a MacBook Pro.
I also use the iPhone and I like the design of the MacBook.
does the display have 10 bit color depth?
I think the MacBook series is simply overpriced.
Many notebooks cost a little less to do the same or even more. For normal applications, the 10-bit color depth is just a gimmick that is not required. When gaming, you can already see a difference.
If you like the design, you can alternatively get the Huawei MateBook. Pretty much the same design and price as Apple, but with Windows.
Yes.
I'm not sure about that, but I think it's 8bit displays. You then have to read the specifications for the respective macbook.
Just a note: you won't be able to "turn" a PC into a MacBook Pro.

Why not? Keyword hackintosh
PC! = Laptop
Believe me, with MacBooks you will only have trouble. There's someone on YouTube who professionally repairs and records the MacBooks. What comes out of it really makes you shudder (e.g. Badly designed cooling solutions that roast the hardware in the long run)! Apple has not been what it used to be since Steve Jobs' death. And if you only care about the design, then you'd better get a Dell Precision or an HP EliteBook 840.

And what should be better?
Have you ever worked with a Macbook? Or at all with a Mac?
Turn the chunky DIY PC into a MacBook Pro.
I would like to see that, can you then record it on video and post it on YouTube, for example?

And what does one have to do with the other?
And the iPhone operating system iOS differs from the MacOS operating system in a similar way to Android from a Linux distribution.
What does the operating system have to do with the hardware?
You can't turn a desktop PC into a laptop or a Macbook.
Yes I have. Simply overpriced. For the coal you can build a high end system with Windows or Linux.
