Used macbook or imac from which year still powerful enough for programs such as Ableton and Native instruments machine?

I produce music with the Native Instruments Machine Studio and the associated software machine 2. Since my laptop seems not powerful enough and there are always problems (cracking and scratching, too high cpu utilization, etc.) I would like to Macbook or change an imac. Since I would like to buy used something like that and do not want to spend too much, I would like to know from which years of construction of the Mac are enough for it enough?

On all that Mojave is running you can run the programs.

I use Photoshop on a MacBook Air from 2012 and that works better than any Windows machine from 2018

But I recommend you no air but a pro the things are just more powerful
