I have had a notebook for almost a year. I call it hybrid because it's half laptop, half tablet, XDXD
Since I bought it, there have been quirks. I sent it to the manufacturer for repair, but they didn't find anything. They probably just completely reset the device and didn't really check whether and where the errors were. I then resigned myself to the fact that I had to live with the little quirks, such as the fact that I could no longer move the pointer or couldn't stop marking a text, if I actually wanted to copy only one sentence.
But now I can no longer save my documents. Every time I edit and save an existing document from the USB stick, it announces to me that the destination is no longer available even though the stick is inserted. I then have to laboriously overwrite the file with 'Save As', otherwise my editing will not be saved. The same thing happens when I use a different stick. I keep getting the message that an error occurred while saving because the destination no longer exists. That drives me crazy! I have already shut the notebook down and up and run a virus program. But it doesn't work. Can you help me? What is wrong? What can I do against it?
If this is the case with different USB sticks, you can probably exclude the sticks as a source of error. Then only the USB port remains on the laptop. It may have loose contact or something similar.
Maybe the USB port is broken - do you have another one to try it out?
What do I do if it is a loose contact?
To me, that all sounds more like a software problem than a tablet.
Do you still have a guarantee on the laptop? Then I would send it in. I would rather not tweak the laptop itself, especially because then the guarantee will expire (if you still have some).
And what am I doing?
Warranty was unfortunately only for 4 weeks and in which the thing still worked quite well. I also sent it in for a repair and they found 'nothing'
Oh, because it was a used device?! Otherwise you have a 2 year statutory warranty from the dealer. No matter how much guarantee the manufacturer gives.
What do I do if the USB port is broken? With two out of three sticks, the saving of documents did not work. There was no problem with the third now, but it can only be a matter of time before it no longer works.
You could use other software for your texts. Otherwise, there's usually not much you can do because you are dependent on bug fixes by the software manufacturer. I know Office storage errors such as this very well from removable media. This also happens if the file is write-protected by copying.
Really? No, it was not used, but talked about by MediaMarkt. He only gave a guarantee of 4 weeks or so, I think
I work with LibreOffice. Which program can you recommend to me?
If I don't use Office from Microsoft, then openOffice from Apache: http://www.openoffice.org/de/download/
Yes, the manufacturer gives a guarantee, they don't have to give you a guarantee, but usually 2 years are common.
The warranty of 2 years from the retailer (here Media Markt), however, is required by law. In the first 6 months it is assumed that the deficiency existed from the beginning, but after that I think you have to prove that you did not cause the deficiency.

OpenOffice was personally my favorite program on the last computer. But on the notebook I can somehow only install Libre, but unfortunately no ObenOffice. The program is not available in the Microsoft Store and it somehow does not work with Chip.de.
All right, thanks ^^
Then use Google Docs, which saves automatically.
You have Rexht. Have a quick look.
Make a real noise. Send it back. Bugs not fixed.
You have the power… Facebook e.g. Make the manufacturer public. Bad guarantee conditions.
They'll give in small.
