I would like to connect my laptop to a monitor and use the laptop as a stand PC, but I have to put it on the side because I just want to save space and that it doesn't bother me. However, I don't know if that could damage the hardware. Can you tell me if that could damage something?
(I have a built-in SSD (no HDD))
As long as it doesn't hinder the ventilation, it doesn't matter
As long as your laptop doesn't fall over, this shouldn't be a problem.
Actually nothing should happen there. Everything except plasma TVs can be turned and positioned however you want. If the laptop doesn't make any strange noises, everything is fine.
