First of all, I hope everyone is fine!

I play on my Matebook X pro with 512GB SSD, MX150 (2gb), 8 gb RAM, and an I7 8th generation

It runs at low and 60 fps, is there any way to improve it? Speak external graphics card? By the way, I play on a screen, 4K.

An Nvidia Geforce MX 150 isn't exactly ideal for gaming. The 2GB of graphics memory that this graphics chip only has is quite scarce for GTA V. At least 1.25 GB are required, which means that you at least meet the minimum requirement. However, if you want to be able to play the game at a higher setting, you definitely need more than 2GB of graphics memory. Generally it is said that GTA is a game made for the PC. At GTA, the graphics memory available is very important! And with a PC you can install a different graphics card at any time and unfortunately you can't with a laptop. If you want to play GTA VI with this laptop, then I can already tell you that you will definitely need a PC! I myself play GTA V with a 6GB graphics card (GTX 1060).

Great, then I already know about it!

Is there a way to help somehow? For example with an external graphics card?

So if I connect an external 2 GB, does that add you up to 4?

or would you generally not recommend external graphics cards?

Just buy a PC with a 6GB graphics card (8GB would be even better) then you would have a lot more options to adapt the graphics better. GTA is simply a game in general that needs a lot of power that if you look at the graphics, not every game has it! With your 2GB graphics memory, you simply don't have many options. As I have already told you, you should ever plan to play GTA 6 as you will definitely need a PC because then 2GB of graphics memory will not be enough for you. GTA will be developed further in the future and you can already count on it someday there will be a GTA in which the graphics look as realistic as real life looks! And then you really need a high-end PC. I grew up with GTA and played GTA back when the first GTA in the world came on the market! And that's why I know something about it!

Thanks for the answer, but I currently do not have the money for a desktop PC. Is there a cheap solution, like new parts for my laptop?

With a laptop, you can only change the RAM and hard drive if you know about it. You can only force the rest out of your laptop, but of course you don't want that. The laptops are all built in our time so that they are usually broken immediately if you solve something by hand. Are you really sure that you have no money for a PC right now? If you could get 500 euro from somewhere then this PC would be optimal for GTA 5: https://www.hardwaredealz.com/bester-gaming-pc-fuer-unter-500-euro-gamer-pc-bis-500-euro/ With the PC you can play GTA 5 at high settings and GTA 6 will still run at medium settings and in a good 8 years if GTA 7 comes you could still just play with the PC.
