For a few days I have noticed that my laptop takes a long time to boot when restarting (about 3-4 minutes). The start-up (duration approx: 8 seconds), however, is very quick. That was not the case before. What can that be?
This is probably due to the so-called quick start of Windows 10.
If you press shutdown, your current session will be saved and will be reloaded at the next start-up.
Because Windows does not have to close the open programs, etc., but only "pause", a faster start-up and shutdown time can be achieved.
When restarting, however, the programs are terminated, which takes more time.
But that was not the case before. Before that, restarting didn't take that long
What does before?
Have you changed settings or installed / uninstalled programs?
If so, then undo this and hope that it will be the same as before.
No not true
Perhaps you have a look in the Windows resource monitor to see what keeps your CPU busy for so long. Often there are countless updates that are called when starting.
