Laptop only starts with electricity even though the battery is full?

A new battery for my Laoptop initially worked normally for several weeks. But now it only starts with a power connection, even though the battery is full. After starting, I can disconnect it from the power connection and it works with the battery.

Have you checked the "mains operation and energy saving options" and what is set there for "battery mode"?
