I'm a draftsman and had a graphics tablet in front of it.
You already know what you can connect to the PC / laptop.
But since it is already 4 years old and no longer functional (touch no longer responds properly and some of the buttons are worn out), I first wanted to buy an iPad.
Unfortunately I don't know my way around - can you recommend one or two models to me?
If it helps: I don't know about customs units, but it doesn't have to be large for use. It may also be significantly smaller than n DinA4 sheets.
So the best tablet I know is from Apple. Especially since these devices run quickly and reliably. Sure, they are a bit expensive, but they also have significantly more performance than other tablets.
Because of this, there MIGHT be games that could run on Xbox One. Only that a tablet is like a small laptop / PC, only significantly cheaper…
I know other tablets, namely from Samsung, but I was much too slow over time. And despite having my last Ipad for almost 4 years, it was still going VERY well…
Incidentally, I have the Ipad Air 2 :) I like it very much.
Thanks a lot.
I thought you were generally asking for tablets (I didn't read the question correctly).
I would only recommend one of the newer models because they are more powerful. You can only see if you look at the points in the benchmark (the processor, graphics unit and RAM are measured in points) :)
As I said, the Ipad Air 2 is one of the cheaper models…
Especially since this iPad is still made of plastic (the screen).
The new model has a stainless steel case (I think) and a glass screen…
Rather not good for me, because I still watch Netflix in bed and the iPad falls down often: /: /
Thank you for your answer, I'm thinking about it!
With IPads, RAM is very important when drawing. I have been flirting with the Apple products for drawing for a while and have already watched some technical videos on YouTube, one of which was very detailed and had explained exactly that depending on RAM the "layers" in drawing are limited, so you can with 2GB RAM also only create two "layers", with 3GB it was only around 4 and with 4 GB RAM around 16, I don't know the number exactly.
The best thing to do is read in carefully and maybe watch some technical videos.
2 layers? You probably got it wrong because something like that can have no limits. You work as a draftsman with a lot of layers, if what you say is really like that, then Ipad is not worth it at all.
Anyway, thanks for the answer!
I'm pretty happy with my Ipad Mini 5 with Apple Pencil. It is nice and small and the performance also fits. Has a stronger processor than the normal Ipad. However, I also tend to draw on paper in a small format. Therefore, the smaller Ipad is perfect for me. It may be too small for others.
If you can / want to afford it, the Ipad Pro would of course be the non plus ultra.
