IPad Air or normal iPad for university?

I would really like to buy an iPad for university (I already have a laptop) to take notes during the (online) lectures.

I'm wavering between the new iPad Air and the new iPad. My decision was actually already made for the iPad Air, but it will only be available from November 24th. That means I would have to stay the first month of the lecture period without. But I could buy the normal iPad (which is much smaller) right away. What do you all mean?

I study math, so it is not so easy to type on the laptop because of all the symbols, etc. I also find writing down with pen and paper stupid, because I've done that for a week now. It is really difficult to write down the text of the slides, what the professor writes on the slides and what he says at the same time and still understand what he is saying. On the iPad I could download the slides and write them down directly on the slide.

What do you all mean? Should I wait 1 month for the iPad Air and write everything down by hand or should I get the normal iPad right away?

(Yes, I know there was a time when there was neither an iPad nor a laptop. Yes, I know, everyone who comments here studied in 1746 and couldn't even write it down on paper but just had to remember everything in his head I know my privileges and I also know that this is a First World problem)

The fact is that you should know in advance what you want to do with the iPad.

Personally, I "only" own the normal iPad and I'm completely satisfied with it.

An

So the Air has its advantages… Just the size.,

if you can afford it, buy the Pro 11 ". It's a bit more expensive, but somehow better too.

otherwise I would wait 1 month to be honest

Ja

I would wait. The iPad Air is awesome and a bit bigger. In addition, the technology in the iPad Air is up-to-date and not outdated as in the iPad. The Apple Pencil 2 is also much better than the old one. The pencil is always charged because you usually always attach it to the side.
