USB had to be repaired, then removed a folder?

I plugged the USB into the laptop, then a message came up that my USB had to be repaired. I let the laptop fix it, after which a folder is just a normal file.

Before that I wanted to drag an mp3 file into the folder, it was damaged and couldn't be repaired. Then the mp3 file was in the folder, size: 0KB. I deleted the file and then went back to the folder, the deleted file was there again!

Need help!

You have to look for the explorer as a background file in the task manager and forcibly stop it. Then restart the PC. But first remove the USB stick

I've never understood how to fix that with the USB stick.

My father taught me from an early age that I can just click away / ignore the window. I still do this today and I haven't had any problems with it yet.

Repairing obviously means formatting → everything will be deleted.

Not everything was deleted

There was also a new folder called FOUND.000

The filesystem is mostly gone. This has been fixed. Files that could not be repaired were either "deleted" or found as unnamed (with any auto-generated file names) or partially named files either completely or only partially in some special folders on the stick. (These folders may be hidden)
