Is it possible to save computer games on an extra hard drive and then play the games by connecting them?

I bought a 1 terabyte hard drive and wanted to transfer the games because there's not enough space on the laptop. So my question is whether I can still play broadcast games.

In general, this is possible. However, loading times etc. Will definitely be longer than if you have the games directly on your PC.

You have already bought the hard drive, but have you ever looked to see if you can retrofit an internal hard drive in your laptop?

OK thanks

If you play them on Steam, definitely. Origin, Uplay, Battle.net and Epic Games should work too, but I haven't tried it yet.

You simply install the game on the external disk using the corresponding launcher and whenever you attach it again, it recognizes the game.

Thank you

The difference between USB3 and SATA magnetic disks is not so big that you notice it big. It looks different with SSDs, but they are m. E. Still too expensive. (Of course, that doesn't scare a die-hard gamer.)
