As the school in my state will start again soon, I didn't want to install Deepin Linux (Debian) on a laptop. I flashed the operating system onto a USB stick and installed it on the laptop. After the restart, however, the message "No bootable device" came. Why is that? Before that, Windows 10 worked fine. Is the file system not supported? (ext4) Should I change it to jfs or something? Without a laptop, I was pretty stuck in school.
Since the boot order in the bios will probably just be changed. See that the record with Deepin is number 1.
I've tried pretty much everything
Thanks anyway
Install again, maybe something did not work during the GRUB installation.
Check in the bios beforehand that Secure Boot is off (don't know if Deepin supports it, but do it for safety's sake, it bothers more than it brings).
I just tried it for the 6th time:-( Secure boot is also out
Why are you installing Deepin, that's the stupidest Linux thing you can install. The Deepin stuff (I used to have something packed on my arch for fun) is hazardous waste.
Thanks, did not help me any further! I just like the UI and enough for office. For that I hate Ubuntu and Arch
But ok ;-) I respect your opinion:-)
Ubuntu is not the only Linux. But an OS that is being cobbled together by Chinese would-be programmers with people's data protection ambitions, there are many other options.
As I said is only for school. At home I use mint
We're already 2! I use openSuSE. I only had problems with a Ryzen3 (G).
