My laptop no longer recognizes Wi-Fi networks. He doesn't even realize that he can connect to Wi-Fi at all. The internal network adapter is not recognized (but with Linux it is). How can I fix this?

We

Try a driver update if you have a working pc you can download the drivers there

wi

Does the Internet connection work via LAN?

te

WLAN router switched on? → The lamp with the signature W-Lan should light up

does Wi-Fi also connect to other devices such as smartphones, ipads, tablets, PCs or other laptops?

Remove any blocking if there's one → is mostly used so that others can't connect to the Wi-Fi

Activate Wi-Fi and update the driver

So from my own experience I know that for some reason it works with Linux too. So that was also the case with my old windows vista home (Toshiba Satellite)

Bl

No, the laptop does not have a driver for the network adapter and accordingly it does not recognize it

Bl

Yes, Wi-Fi also works on Linux, but not on Windows

I read through the answers. Looks like no driver for the Wi-Fi is installed at all, at least not for Windows, then google which drivers are necessary for your laptop and operating system. Often several different modules are used in almost the same series.

LAN! Not Wi-Fi?

Bl

Still, yes.

Found the driver!

As a Windows 7 user, you can still upgrade to Windows 10 for free. The Windows 7 product key is also accepted when activating Windows 10.

The upgrade can easily be carried out with the Media Creation Tool https://www.microsoft.com/...ndows10%20. It is also recommended to create a Microsoft account and use it to log into Windows 10 as a user. Finally, the wizard offers to create the Microsoft account. Then the activation will also be permanently saved in your Microsoft account.

Before doing this, read out and write down the Windows 7 Product Key with this tool https://www.chip.de/...63752.html.

If it's the right one, it should work now.
