McAfee subscription without an account?

I rebuilt my notebook and immediately got McAfee on it. I'm just about to throw this down and there I got the message from a subscription. I have never had an account or subscription, so how can that be? I never used McAfee. Is this just to prevent me from uninstalling McAfee, or is there really something in it?

I threw it down now too. Do I have to worry about costs or anything? As I said, I had never had an account or subscription, so I found that very strange. Am I safe or do I have to worry now?
