I recently got such an Ibook g3 clamshell in blue and even catches one purpose: to use it as an office computer. I also really liked the design. When I showed it to my friends and relatives, she said it was very nice. So why doesn't Apple make like notebooks in the design?
Because MacBooks sell better.
Because it looks like a toy. Plastic just looks cheap and the design is very playful. This would seem completely unprofessional, especially for business people, compared to the simple, high-quality metal design.
Because tastes are different. And Apple is more interested in making everything cordless.
