I have a block seminar for almost 10 hours for 2 days. Online in front of my laptop, but with an attendance requirement. Now my question is, can the lecturer "oblige" us for so long?
You will have breaks in between and are unlikely to get past a normal 8-hour day. It's nothing unusual.

Studying shouldn't be fun or easy. It's just a challenge.
And I ask you… 2x a week 10 hours are more than clear.
Just get enough food and then it will be fine.
After all. The seminar starts at 8:15 am to 6:45 pm and we have a break from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm. And that on both Saturday and Monday
I still have this seminar for 90 minutes every week for the whole semester. I have no problem with being there, sometimes on weekends. However, I do not think that one should sit at the desk in front of the screen for so long, nor can one concentrate. I just asked if it was allowed and not asked for opinions
The lecturer can do this as long as he wants. Feel free to complain, but you won't get far.
