I desperately need your help. I'm about to cry. My laptop only starts up very slowly and it takes forever. Today the mouse (laptop mouse?) Does not work anymore. What happened? I have to make my presentation.
Sounds like the hard drive is going to break.
I would advise you to back up your most important data as soon as possible.
Thanks, I just wish the mouse would go so I can secure it.
Use the trackpad.
I do not know what a trackpad should be. I do not know anything like that at all. I'm a hopeless case. Think you can't help me anymore.
I hope in your interest that you have created regular backups.
Otherwise, you are about to grab the toilet, because I share the conjecture of others: The hard drive could be close to extinction.
Of course, it could also be a nasty virus attack - z. B. By an encryption Trojaner, which currently heavily loaded the hard drive - but that comes out the same: Without backup => handle the toilet.
Either way: Since at this time - and before Monday - no hardware handler on the fast can deliver a new record, it looks bad for your Refefat.
The trackpad is the big pad below the keyboard that lets you control the mouse.
You are not hopeless, just clueless. It's not that bad.
Some people have a clue about technology, other people on cars, you certainly have some strength that you are not immediately aware of.
That is this big smooth thing in front of the keyboard in the laptop, the touchpad is like a mobile phone display without a screen and you can also click and click
It would be best if you leave your laptop turned off first and ask in the family around if anyone has any idea about computers. This can certainly help you to get the data from the hard drive of the laptop.
If not, contact me again. I can certainly help you with that.
If nothing works, get a new hard drive (SSD is preferable to an HDD) and save the old one.
The following applies if there are no 2 slots in the notebook: Build the suspect HDD (or let it do that) and let it install a new system. Get an adapter for the HDD and connect it to your notebook.
Install the program Unstoppable Copier (works with hard drives too, do not worry): https://www.netzwelt.de/...opier.html and restore all files (on a stick or another hard disk). The removal is important so that the HDD is not damaged anymore.
Little tip on the edge: Backups make! Internal backups on dedicated hard disks as well as external backups in secured locations (cloud, network storage, weekly backup / full backup disks (Grandfather, Father, Son is recommended with Macrium Reflect, for example)
