Can you connect a laptop to a1tvbox?

Re

I have an A1 box / receiver that can be connected to the TV with an HDMI cable and thus has cable TV. I also want to connect it to the laptop. You don't find much about it in Google so I think it is not possible otherwise you would find it immediately.

so

So with a normal box e.g. Vu or ABox

no problem but with boxes from official manufacturers such as A1, Sky, Horizon

not directly possible DRM protection and such

if you only want to watch Free Tv, use Joyn (the new streaming platform for free Tv) or zatoo

I personally was not convinced because I only watch pay TV but enough for free TV

Since a laptop usually does not have a video input, this is not so easy.

You can connect a capture card to a laptop / PC. This then acts as a video input. Then you can e.g. Connect a receiver, a game console, a DVD player or the like and play the video signal of these devices on the laptop.

However, some devices transmit a signal, e.g. https://de.wikipedia.org/...Protection, which prevents the video signal of these devices from being forwarded to the laptop / PC via a capture card. This can also be handled with additional components.
