Laptop webcam does not work on Discord?

Unfortunately the webcam doesn't work on Discord and I can't figure out why.
I already have:

Discord reinstalled
checked the camera's drivers
checked the Discord settings

Any ideas or suggestions?

The symbol looks like you don't have a camera or you have deactivated the camera. Does the laptop have a slider to turn off the camera?

Not that I know of. There's a button with which you can deactivate the camera, but pressing it multiple times does not help either.

I've done it several times, unfortunately no success

Then throw the laptop out the window.
